Three years after the end of one of the bloodiest civil wars in modern history, Sri Lanka is moving in to a new era that many believed would never arrive. The civil war between the Tamil and Singhalese populations was one of the bloodiest in modern history lasting almost 23 years and leaving countless civilians dead.
